The one constant in my career? I’ve always been at the heart of teams driving innovation and change. And oddly enough, I didn’t set out to work in marketing or AI.
My first role out of college was as a Content Producer at Virgin Media in 2006, where I was part of a small team that launched their video streaming service. The big change then was giving people the choice between watching on a TV or a laptop. Then came mobile. Then came online subscription business models around video content.
And as marketing shifted to be more digital, I found myself drawn to it, fascinated by the way technology, data, and storytelling could come together.
When I worked with Accenture’s Global Centre for Innovation, the one thing I heard repeatedly from colleagues and clients was this:
“You have an unbelievable ability to help people understand complex things.”
I’ve heard this same feedback countless times since I started helping teams understand AI so they can be more efficient, sharpen their skills, understand the risks, and create a strategic roadmap around it.
Generative AI presents a big opportunity for teams, but only if you can cut through the noise and figure out what’s useful. I make AI practical, relevant, and, dare I say, exciting.
I’m not here to bombard you with the latest shiny AI tools (there are plenty). Instead, I’ll get to know your team, your tech, and what you’re already doing.
Understanding the complexity of technology is one thing, but understanding people – their motivations, fears, and mindsets – is where real transformation happens. In 2022, I became an EMCC-accredited coach and earned a certificate in the neuroscience of business from MIT. Because if you want to drive real change, you have to understand people – how they think, what motivates them, and how to support their growth.
At the end of the day, change doesn’t just happen. It’s about connecting the dots across your business, people and technology – that ultimately helps your business and your people to grow.
